ABOUT:

Indiana’s 92 Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs) work at the grassroots level in both rural and urban settings to develop locally-driven solutions to natural resource concerns.

The Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (IASWCD) works at a state level to promote and enhance conservation. We do this through legislative advocacy, public outreach, and supporting our member SWCDs in their local work. The IASWCD represents the interests of local Districts as one voice, and assists their leadership through coordination and education for the wise use and management of our natural resources.

Local producers, landowners, and conservationists are encouraged to connect with their local SWCD for access to information, conservation resources, leadership opportunities, and more. Get involved and become a conservation leader in your community.
