Are you part of an Indiana Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) that’s been making strides in conservation efforts and outreach? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! The District Showcase Award, sponsored by the Indiana Conservation Partnership (ICP), is a prestigious honor that annually highlights the success of up to four local SWCDs in Indiana.
What is the District Showcase Award?
This award is a chance for districts to share innovative project ideas, improved designs for existing conservation projects, and new programs. The winning SWCDs will be honored at the Annual Statewide Conservation Awards Ceremony and will have the opportunity to showcase their work in-person during a visit by the Indiana Conservation Partnership leaders.
What does the Award Include?
Winners of the District Showcase Award will receive:
- One free registration to the statewide SWCD Conference
- A table at the conference to display photos and materials depicting your winning projects
- The opportunity to present your work in-person to ICP leadership
- Special recognition during the award ceremony
- Highlight in partnership newsletters, websites, and statewide news releases
Who can apply?
All SWCDs in Indiana are invited to submit an application. Multiple SWCDs can submit a joint application for a specific project or program. Please note, however, that only one application per SWCD is allowed. If your district received this award in the past three years, you are not eligible for this year.
